Developmental Assessment Resource for Teachers (DART)

The following versions of the Developmental Assessment Resource for Teachers (DART) are available from ACER Press:

• DART Middle Primary English - Reading/Writing (Year 3 – 5)
• DART Upper Primary, Junior Secondary English - Reading/Writing (Year 6 – 8)
• DART Upper Primary, Junior Secondary Mathematics (Year 5 – 8)

DART activities can be used as the basis for a classroom language or mathematics unit. Teachers can build a four to six week program around the themes of the DART materials. Other class discussions, tasks and projects can be added.

For all DART products, ACER is able to:

• Assist teachers with administering DART assessments.
• Check mark teachers' own marking or mark the work for them.
• Analyse and report results.

For Years 3 and 5 Reading and Writing we are able to provide (after ACER marking) an individual student report which indicates performance against nationally agreed benchmarks.
