Information, Dates and Fees

Science Construct

Following the frameworks used for the OECD’s Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), the focus of the science assessment is on scientific literacy, that is, whether students are able to use their knowledge of, and about science effectively to identify problems, acquire new knowledge, offer explanations, and draw evidence-based conclusions. The knowledge to be assessed has been selected from the major fields of physics, chemistry, biology, earth and space sciences with the aim of including situations of relevance to real-life, or that represent important scientific concepts or theories.

Fees (invoiced following release of results)

  • AUD15.00 per student
  • AUD12.00 per student for schools that also participate in the main ISA assessment in 2013-14

The cost applies to any student who completes all or part of the ISA Science assessment. These fees include:

  • Online access to the assessment
  • Marking of the assessment by our professional team of markers
  • Analysis of student results
  • Generation and online delivery of results through secure web-based reports
