The ACER Progressive Achievement Tests in Mathematics Third Edition (PATMaths Third Edition) is the most up-to-date edition of ACER’s best selling test of achievement in mathematics.
PATMaths is designed for use in Australian schools to provide objective information about mathematics achievement levels to inform teaching practice and monitor progress. Suitable for years 2 to 10, administration takes 40 minutes for a group.
The 2011 reprint of the PATMaths Teacher Manual contains a number of important updates, including:
- Group report spreadsheet proformas for each test for entering students’ results
- Norms for Test A for years 1, 2 and 3
- PATMaths item descriptors with links to the Australian Curriculum for Mathematics
Schools now have the choice of paper and pencil testing or online testing, or a combination of both. The online version of PATMaths is called PATMaths Plus. PATMaths Plus tests contain different questions to PATMaths, however both tests provide PATMaths scores on the same scale, enabling results to be compared between the two tests.
