Every candidate who registers to sit STAT should receive a link to the electronic version of the STAT Candidate Information Booklet (on this page) from the Tertiary Admissions Centre managing their test registration. This free, downloadable Candidate Information Booklet contains a set of 70 practice questions. Please note that this is a different set of questions to that sold in the STAT Sample Collection of Questions (see below). Some Tertiary Admissions Centres will post you a hardcopy of the STAT Candidate Information Booklet upon registration, however some (such as VTAC) DO NOT post a booklet, unless specifically requested by you.

Printing Tips: The STAT Candidate Information Booklet is a large document. Save it to your desktop and print from there rather than directly from the web link. You may also find it easier to print in batches of 10 pages at a time rather than the whole document all at once.

STAT Sample Collection of Questions

The STAT Sample Collection of Questions © April 2012 is an extra resource, available for purchase from ACER. It is designed to reflect a real test. It has 70 questions, half Verbal Reasoning, half Quantitative Reasoning, and a similar range of difficulty levels as a real test. Explanations of worked examples are included, together with an answer key. A number of sample essay prompts for the STAT Written English are also provided. Please note that the questions in this booklet are different to the questions included in the free STAT Candidate Information Booklet available to all STAT candidates.

The STAT Sample Collection of Questions is available in either electronic or printed form.  The cost of the electronic version (e-book) is AUD$24.00. The cost of the printed booklet is AUD$30.00, which includes postage and handling within Australia.

Express Post is available, if desired, for an additional $5.50. Overseas candidates who order the printed version must select the Express Post option on their order to cover the additional postage for airmail.

Please allow 1 day for processing before the printed booklet goes into the post.

The electronic version is a secure pdf watermarked with your name and email address. You may print it up to 2 times, and have unlimited access to it on screen for one year from the date of purchase.
You are not permitted to circulate this booklet. Please not that the STAT Sample Collection of Questions is 55 pages.
