Components

The components of the IBT system include the provision of:

• the International Benchmark Tests (IBT) in English & Mathematics, for classes 3 to 10.
• detailed IBT reports benchmarking student achievement and school performance against school, national and international norms. School results are referenced to international norms through the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) data.
• individual student reports that provide detailed information about what students know and can do in the specific area and can form the basis of enhanced teaching and learning activities.
• Access to a dedicated website for practice tests and the support network on this website.
• teacher workshops conducted by ACER staff focusing on how to use the wealth of assessment data in the reports to help children improve learning.
