Test Format and Security
These are pen and paper tests in a multiple-choice format which uses machine-scanned answer sheets.
The time allowed for each test is as follows:
| Core VST (Quantitative, Verbal and Abstract Reasoning) | 2 hours and 10 minutes |
| VST – Mechanical Reasoning Assessment | 30 minutes |
| VST – Interpersonal Understandings Assessment | 40 minutes |
The VST tests are revised annually with new questions added to avoid advantaging groups that may have sat for test in previous years.
