Several partners contributed to the Leading Learning in Education and Philanthropy (LLEAP) project during its three-year span.
Janet Hirst is the Chief Executive Officer of The Ian Potter Foundation and The George Alexander Foundation. Bringing expertise from many years in senior federal government policy development roles, Janet has a special interest in the development of a strategic approach to philanthropy. Sean Barrett is Head of the Origin Foundation, a philanthropic foundation founded by Origin, which supports initiatives that use education to improve the lives of individuals and communities. Sean was recruited from the not-for-profit sector where he has held senior roles in managing organisations in Australia and overseas. www.originfoundation.com.au
Tony Fry was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of the Scanlon Foundation, a private philanthropic trust with a principal focus on social cohesion. He brought his expertise from a long career in executive management in the Victorian Government, followed by a period within the not-for-profit sector, to pursue over the past decade the growth of the Foundation within Australia’s multicultural arena. Dr Michelle Anderson was formerly an ACER Principal Research Fellow and Project Director of Tender Bridge, with particular research interests in school leadership. Michelle is on the Board of Schools Connect Australia and is passionate about improving learning through building the capacity of schools to develop effective relationships with business, philanthropy, not-for-profits and other groups in the community. She lead the multi-year national study, LLEAP.
Dr Emma Curtin was formerly a Research Fellow in ACER’s Tender Bridge national research and development service. Emma has extensive writing, editing, research and analytical experience across a range of areas including corporate, academic and not-for-profit environments. She has worked with a range of research methodologies, developed technical expertise in the creation of online surveys and effectively engaged with stakeholders in a variety of contexts.
